Dr Humayun Beg completed his medical education from Sindh Medical College (University of Karachi). He completed his residency training from St Joseph Mercy Oakland hospital in Michigan, later to pursue 2-Year rheumatology fellowship in Adult Rheumatology at the University of South Florida, FL. Dr Beg has over a decade of experience in evaluating and treating complex rheumatological diseases including Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus and connective tissue diseases, Sjogren’s syndrome, inflammatory myopathies, inflammatory eye diseases, Spondyloarthropathies, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis and more, with the latest cutting-edge disease-modifying agents called Biologics at his convenient office-based infusion center. He has special interest in treating patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis with the IV & injectable biologics and oral-small molecules . He is also experienced in providing steroid and platelet-rich plasma joint injections.
He has practiced rheumatology for the past 14 years in various regions of the US, but has mostly loved practicing in Texas. Dr. Humayun Beg is an expert rheumatologist serving all of northeast Houston.
In his leisure time, Dr Beg enjoys learning ancient history and immunology, enjoys playing tennis, and thrilling trail running and mountain-biking with his family and friends. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi to make his patients feel at ease in communicating.
