Dr. Saakshi Chowdhary is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She is a foot and ankle surgery specialist serving patients in Wellspire’s Cypress, Humble, and Spring/Tomball locations. Because foot problems can significantly impact a patient’s everyday life, Saakshi treats a wide array of foot disorders ranging from injuries to complications of underlying medical conditions such as diabetes and arthritis. She takes a multifaceted approach to patient care and values serving patients from all walks of life. Patients have commended her compassionate attitude and say they feel at ease discussing their concerns and questions with her. Dr. Chowdhary takes time to listen attentively, explain medical conditions in detail, and offer reasonable treatment options tailored to each patient’s lifestyle, whether that be conservative care or surgery. Through her practice, she hopes to improve her community’s health and mobility and empower people to take a more active role in their wellbeing.

Saakshi grew up in Katy and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Her interest in nutrition and healthcare eventually led her to discover the concept of diabetic foot care and the field of podiatry at large. She went on to earn a DPM at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her residency training in Houston included inpatient care, outpatient clinic care, and surgical training with a diverse group of physicians across the Houston area.

Outside of her dedication to medicine, Dr. Chowdhary enjoys trying out new cuisines and is an avid fan of caffeine, all musical genres, and mystery and action movies. As a native Houstonian, she also enjoys spending time with her loved ones on the weekends and exploring new parts of town.
