Dr. Christopher Oguayo is an orthopedic surgeon at Wellspire Medical’s Humble location, specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. With a focus on treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Oguayo provides expert care for patients with upper extremity conditions, as well as chronic conditions affecting the hand and arm.

Dr. Oguayo earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System in Miami, FL.

His clinical interests include treating hand and upper extremity trauma, conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and pathologic conditions affecting the hand such as rheumatoid arthritis, cerebral palsy, Dupuytren’s disease, and a host of other conditions. He also provides surgical and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions affecting both the upper and lower extremities. Passionate about improving his patients’ quality of life and their functionality, Dr. Oguayo emphasizes a personalized approach to care, utilizing both surgical interventions and rehabilitation techniques to achieve optimal outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Oguayo is an active member of professional organizations such as the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS). He is dedicated to continuing his education and staying engaged in the medical community, all while balancing his personal time with his family.
