Tiffany Mauldin Hurley is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in Family Medicine at Wellspire’s Humble location. She has experience working in family medicine, physical medicine, orthopedics, hematology, and oncology. Mrs. Hurley has always known she wanted a career in medicine. While studying microbiology and biochemistry in college, she did biomedical research on a tumor suppressor protein and founded a Pre-Physician Assistant Organization at her university. After graduation, Mrs. Hurley interned at the Johnson Center for Autism Research and worked as a medical assistant in an allergy and asthma clinic. Mrs. Hurley returned to school to get a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University in Miami. During her training, she completed rotations in pediatrics, psychiatry, women’s health, and emergency medicine, three advanced clinical rotations in internal medicine, and a plastic surgery rotation performing breast reconstruction following cancer treatment.

Physician Assistants (PAs) are generalists who treat the entire patient. They have extensive training in general medicine and are licensed to provide primary medical care under the supervision of a physician. PAs undertake a broad range of duties including conducting physical exams and procedures, administering and interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosing illnesses and injuries, determining treatment plans, prescribing medications, giving immunizations, and counseling patients on preventive care. When appropriate, PAs collaborate with and refer patients to other medical specialists.

Mrs. Hurley lives in Porter with her husband. She loves to read about new ways to help her patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at her church, traveling, and doing outdoor activities with her dogs.
